Teardown: SkyOS
c/o Skyryse, world’s first universal operating system for flight, reducing pilot training time by more than 50%.
Skyryse is the aviation software company behind SkyOS™, a universal operating system for flight which powers their first aircraft, the Skyryse One™ — simplifying aircraft management for pilots. SkyOS replaces conventional mechanical flight controls with a fully digitized, fly-by-wire system, and has been integrated across helicopters and airplanes including the Black Hawk, Cirrus SR22, and Airbus H-125, with partnerships spanning the U.S. military, emergency medical, law enforcement, and commercial sectors.

c/o Skyryse, world’s first universal operating system for flight, reducing pilot training time by more than 50%.
Introduced a universal emergency autoland feature for its SkyOS flight operating system, enabling aircraft to automatically land safely if a pilot becomes incapacitated. The system is designed to work across both helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, guiding the aircraft to a safe landing with minimal passenger input.
Read MoreHas raised over $300 million in a Series C round, reaching a $1.15 billion valuation, to accelerate certification and deployment of its universal flight operating system, SkyOS. The funding will help scale the aircraft-agnostic platform, which replaces traditional mechanical flight controls with integrated automation to simplify and improve aviation safety.
Read MoreSkyryse successfully completed the first flight of a Black Hawk helicopter equipped with its SkyOS flight operating system, demonstrating automated pickup, hover, and landing using simplified digital controls. The retrofit was completed in just 91 days, proving the system can be integrated into existing aircraft to enable safer and more automated flight operations.
Read MoreThe U.S. Department of Transportation unveiled the nation’s first Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) National Strategy, a roadmap for integrating next-generation aircraft such as eVTOL air taxis and autonomous systems into U.S. airspace. The plan highlights automation technologies like Skyryse’s SkyOS, which aims to simplify aircraft controls and improve safety through advanced flight automation.
Read MoreSkyryse has expanded its SkyOS flight operating system to airplanes, successfully demonstrating the technology on a Cirrus SR22 as part of its effort to make aviation automation aircraft-agnostic. The move builds on earlier helicopter integrations and supports future deployments across both commercial and military aircraft.
